According to CBRE, the biggest data center markets in the US absorbed 493MW of capacity in 2021, setting a new record. But despite the non-stop nature of data center build, the supply chain crisis has resulted in material shortages, labour culminating in costly slowing down of project delivery.

As such, how beneficial is modular and prefabrication as project delivery continues at scale? Is stick build making a comeback as some components prove harder to locate? And, how has planning adjusted to accommodate the reality of a longer supply chain. With the pipeline of builds showing no signs of slowing down, we ask our panel how they are navigating the supply chain crisis amid unparalleled demand for new data center capacity.
