Congratulations to our 2021 category winner: Microsoft Cloud-Production Two-Phase Immersion Cooling Deployment

Microsoft has deployed world's first public cloud production deployment using two-phase immersion cooling in order to cool the increasing densities required for higher densities, disaggregated resources and multi-die/chip systems. Cooling is based on engineered 'dielectric' fluids in an immersion tank. The fluid boils on exposure to the server heat, vaporizes and rises to the condenser surface where it liquifies and returns to the tank. The cooling system lowers energy consumption, can cool small footprints as well as enabling the overclocking of IT equipment.
