Despite the increasing usage of liquid cooling technologies, air is still widely considered the main method of data center cooling. As the industry continues to rely heavily on these systems, it is important to consider how far air cooling can be pushed, what the limitations are, and which data center applications derive the most value from it.
During this episode we will explore how air cooling is being innovated to increase its cooling capacity in data centers by pushing the limits of traditional technology. Additionally the latest innovations in air cooling, such as vortex cooling will be explored, to identify how higher chip densities can be supported by air. This session will also explore what opportunities for heat reuse from air cooled waste heat exist, and how these can contribute to the sustainable practices in data centers.
