The application of cognitive computing has created ever more data, creating pressure on the servers, storage, and network devices housed in a data center.
There is evidence to suggest that data centers will need to expand to the network edge as a result of AI and other applications requiring fast response times not available from traditional data center architectures.
How is the rise of cognitive computing impacting the design of the data center? Will dense workloads precipitate the move to modular, edge facilities? Who is leading the charge on innovation and where are we likely to see the most operational impact?
