Edge computing is complex and as yet not fully defined, heralding an industry shift back to decentralization. It represents a far-reaching change to existing network architectures and is attracting interest from a broad ecosystem of potential participants.

This keynote is intended to introduce our audience to many of the basic concepts of edge computing. It will examine the different types of edge from telco/5G, to data center and industrial IoT, and what’s happening in each of those spaces. What applications will be the early adopters, and who stands the most to gain from investment?
