Moving to the country - Is the move out of city centers for office workers a metaphor for data centers to relocate?

The global mega cities of London, Singapore and New York have long been home to a rich financial centre, a dense population and unrivaled technological innovation, but they do not necessarily top the list of viable locations for computing infrastructure.

A new crop of rural counties across the United States are now able to take advantage of the spiraling costs attached to doing business in the ‘big city’ with offers of developable land, a robust energy infrastructure and attractive tax exemptions.

We ask our panel whether the likes of Northern Virginia are in danger of saturation and explore the options for data center relocation.
