Panel discussion: How are advances in computing altering how and where networks are built?

The application of cognitive computing has created ever more data, creating pressure on the servers, storage, and network devices housed in a data center. The location of a facility though is under question. There is evidence to suggest that data centers will need to expand to the network edge to meet the demand for compute processing near sources of data generation as a result of artificial intelligence and other applications requiring fast response times not available from traditional data center architectures.

We ask our panellists, how the rise of cognitive computing is likely to impact the size and scale of the data center of the future.
