Moving on up

On joining the NTT Communications group company, Stone said: “I am excited to be joining RagingWire at this strategic moment in their growth. The fundamentals of the data center colocation industry are strong and RagingWire’s wholesale strategy is sound. Now is the time for superior execution.”

RagingWire operates nearly a million square feet of data center space in the US, opening its second Ashburn Virginia facility this April. It has plans to open a million foot data center campus in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex area.

Speaking on the company’s success and recent hire, RagingWire President Doug Adams said: “The market is responding positively to our wholesale data center solutions, which deliver flexible configurations of multi-megawatt vaults and an operational model that complements and extends our customers’ information technology teams.

“We wanted a proven data center operations executive as our Chief Operating Officer with a track record of delivering both mission critical availability and significant growth. We are pleased that Joel Stone, with his global experience at CenturyLink (formerly Savvis Communications), Global Switch in Europe, and Microsoft, is joining RagingWire as our COO.”

When he was VP of Global Data Center Operations for CenturyLink, Stone was responsible for 60 data centers around the world, and 600 staff.
