YCO Cloud Centers is a joint venture of local Filipino group JJYnchausti, and US-based Cloud Centers. The facility, YCO Manila Digital will be a two-story, 10,000 sqm data center consisting of four 3MW data halls. The company plans to break ground in early June 2022, with delivery of the first data hall planned for mid-Q2 2023

“The Philippines is a leading, dynamic technology and digital hub in the APAC region but underserved in terms of state-of-the-art data center and digital infrastructure,” said Nik de Ynchausti, CEO of YCO Cloud Centers in a statement. “We’re excited to partner with the US-based CloudCenters and the world-class design team to deliver this important facility and provide our customers with the critical infrastructure they seek.”

“Announcing the design and construction of a new purpose-built data center to serve the Manila market in the Philippines,” Cloud Centers LLC said on LinkedIn several months ago. “Great to have Shawn Reichart of Gensler as part of our design team for our Manila data center that will be 100,000 sq ft with 12MW of total IT capacity. Located just south of Manila in a planned technology park,” it said in a subsequent post.

Formed in 2020, San Francisco-based Cloud Centers is co-managed by former Digital Realty VPs Jon Paulsen and Craig McGahey.
