Flexential is seemingly expanding its Franklin, Tennessee data center.

According to BizJournal, the company was recently granted building permits to expand its facility at 4600 Carothers Parkway.

Turner Construction has been brought in for work that has been dubbed "Phase 3”. The project will reportedly see 12,800 square feet of space added. The company is investing $4.8 million in the project.

The Franklin facility currently has 80,000 sq ft of space and 6MW of critical load capacity. The property was one of the 29 data centers Sila Realty Trust, the US REIT formerly known as Carter Validus, recently sold to Singaporean investment company Mapletree Investment Trust.

Part of GI Partners, Flexential operates 40 data center facilities across 20 markets. The company recently entered into a sale and leaseback deal with Legacy Investing LLC for the Hillsboro 3 data center at its Hillsboro campus in Oregon. In December it announced a 146,000 square foot (13,600 sq m) expansion to its Plano, Texas facility.
