A data center is up for sale in Marshalltown, Iowa.
Cushman & Wakefield is offering 1706 Governor Road in Marshall County, around 60 miles northeast of Des Moines. It is available for $3 million.
Built in 1975, the 12.45-acre property houses a 49,675 sq ft (4,615 sqm) single-story building. It is described as a 12,000 sq ft (1,115 sqm) Tier III-quality data center online since 2009.
The facility currently offers 1MW but reportedly has potential for expansion.
AT&T/CenturyLink & Verizon/Windstream are available fiber providers to the site.
The site is part of Emerson’s campus in Marshalltown, where the company has a solutions center to demonstrate its products.
The facility was a retrofit of an existing building to act as a backup data center to its then-new primary facility in St. Louis, Missouri.
