GPX designs, owns, and operates carrier-neutral data centers in developing markets. It opened its first facility in Cairo in 2007, then built another data center in the ‘Boomerang Building’ in Mumbai - the first certified Tier IV facility in South Asia.

The latest GPX data center is located in the Central Business District of New Cairo. It offers 5MW of power and has been built according to TIA-942 standard, which guidelines for planning and building data centers, particularly with regard to cabling systems and network design.

The services in Cairo are aimed at both local and international companies looking for a reliable facility to store and process their data. GPX has offices in Cairo, Mumbai, Dublin and New York.

A previous version of this story incorrectly stated that GPX obtained Tier IV certificate for the Cairo facility from the Uptime Institute.
