British subsidiary of NASDAQ-listed US technology services company PCM has bought Stack Group, a Liverpool-based IT and networking provider, for an undisclosed sum.

Stack Group offers cloud, connectivity, security, and a range of consultancy and auditing services, supplying third-party vendors’ products to the UK market. It owns and operates two Tier II cloud data centers and generated revenues of approximately £2.9m ($3.87m) in the financial year ending in March 2017.

Liverpool calling

PCM’s UK arm formally began doing business in the country in April, aiming to employ 90 people by the turn of 2018.

At the time, the company’s UK director Donavan Hutchinson told CRN that although its aim was to settle in the UK before growing further, PCM was not ruling out potential investments or acquisitions.

The company’s CEO and chairman, Frank Khulusi, said that buying Stack Group was “a key milestone” for its UK segment, and that it would not only allow it to expand its offerings in the country and across Europe, but also in North America.

Stack Group’s managing director, Steve Cobham, said the company was “delighted and excited to be joining the PCM family.”
