“Our ambitions are big, both in the Netherlands and in Germany," said Kristel Landa, Relined Fiber Network MD.

"We want to grow, and we are continuing to take steps towards this. For us, increasing demand for connectivity on the German market was the principal reason for entering into negotiations with Datacenter One, and this led to the takeover of Globalways."

Relined first entered Germany back in 2017, rolling out a dark fiber network connecting more than 20 data centers around the country. The acquisition "will allow for even better use of our nationwide dark fiber backbone in Germany and will mean that even more connections can be made to the Nordics through the COBRA Fiber Optic Cable," Landa continued.

"We are immensely pleased with the takeover, which is a great springboard to further expansions on the German market."
