Stack Infrastructure has bought additional land in Manassas, Virginia to expand its data center campus there.

The company has bought an additional 25 acres adjacent to its existing Prince William County campus, which is still in development and currently fully leased. The company said the land will make room for up to two 36MW facilities.

Stack has three facilities in Northern Virginia: NVA02/03 totals 72MW and 700,000 sq ft across a 25 acre-site in Prince William County adjacent to the new land acquisition, as well as its 180,000 sq ft, 17MW NVA01 facility in Ashburn.

The company first announced the first phase of its 125-acre Prince William County development in early 2020. This latest land purchase adds to that campus.

“When we talk to our marquee clients about their development plans, Northern Virginia inevitably comes up,” said Brian Cox, Stack CEO. “The access to power, network infrastructure, and an educated workforce is second-to-none, so it makes sense for us to deliver as much capacity as possible to meet this growing demand. We’re expediting growth in many new, emerging markets, but Northern Virginia will always be an enduring Stack destination.”

Last week Stack announced a 56MW data center campus in Toronto, Canada. Earlier this year the company raised $400 million via securitized notes.
