Aaron Binkley is vice president, sustainability for Digital Realty, where he is charged with developing the vision, strategy, overseeing implementation of the company’s sustainability programs. Binkley is an expert on topics including renewable energy, energy and water conservation, sustainable construction and corporate responsibility reporting. Binkley is a founding member and current vice-chair of the Sustainability Committee of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT). Binkley has written and spoken widely about sustainability in real estate and is the author of the The Real Estate Solar Investment Handbook: A Commercial Property Guide to Managing Risks and Maximizing Returns. Binkley is a Registered Architect; and has an undergraduate degree from Carnegie Mellon University and a master’s degree from MIT.
