Luca Melluso
Technical Director - Solutions Architecture & Connectivity, AirTrunkLuca Melluso is AirTrunk’s Technical Director - Solutions Architecture & Connectivity, Asia-Pacific’s (APAC) leading hyperscale data centre provider, enabling the growth of cloud in the region. Based in Singapore, Luca is responsible for the design and positioning of AirTrunk’s pioneering services and solutions in the Asia-Pacific region.
Melluso is a skilled communicator and takes great pride in his ability to work with customer leaders to understand their needs and create sophisticated solutions. Not only does he expertly manage relationships with carriers, connectivity partners and customers, but he is also involved in the design and construction of AirTrunk’s facilities.
AirTrunk was the pioneer of hyperscale data centres in APAC, focusing on delivering scale, speed and flexibility for its customers. Since opening Australia’s first and largest hyperscale data centres in Sydney and Melbourne in 2017, AirTrunk quickly announced new data centres in Sydney North, Singapore and Hong Kong. The company has well-developed expansion plans in other APAC markets.
AirTrunk is one of the fastest growing technology companies in the world. Recently valued at A$3b, Macquarie Infrastructure & Real Assets (MIRA) acquired a majority share in the company in April 2020, in the largest data centre deal in Australian history.
Luca’s experience spans both start-up and Fortune 500 organisations around the world. Prior to joining AirTrunk, Luca led solutions engineering for IO data centres through their US$1.3b acquisition by Iron Mountain in 2018.
Luca received his Master in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Genova. Luca is a bilingual communicator with fluency in both English and Italian.
