Rob Glen

Rob Glen joined Uptime Institute in 2021 as Senior Advisor, Innovation Commercialization. Rob spent the prior two decades as a senior executive at two leading analyst firms: enterprise technology specialist 451 Research and, most recently, BloombergNEF, an arm of Bloomberg LP focused on global commodity markets and the disruptive technologies driving the transition to a low-carbon economy. Rob’s career also includes more than 15 years as a consultant, lobbyist and investment banker with Prudential Insurance Company of America as well as nine years as a policy journalist and nationally syndicated newspaper columnist based in Washington, DC. His work has appeared in more than 100 newspapers in the U.S. and Canada as well as the Economist and National Journal. Rob received a BA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an MA from the Paul Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at The Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from the New York University Stern School of Business, which named him a Stern Scholar.
