Modernization is a hot topic, according to Schneider Electric director of strategy North America, Russell Senesac, because operators want to add a lot of new technologies to data centers, but often the facilities were built a long time ago.
Modernization depends on getting good data about the facility: "Modernization is about having the ability to know where to spend your next dollar. If you are going into a modernization opportunity and you don't understand what you have, it's very difficult to decide where to spend the money."
