Standardized, pre-assembled and integrated data center modules, also referred to in the data center industry as containerized or modular data centers, allow data center designers to shift their thinking from a customized “construction” mentality to a standardized “site integration” mentality. Prefabricated modules are faster to deploy, more predictable, and can be deployed for a similar cost to traditional stick-built data centers.

This paper provides data center professionals with the information needed to justify a business case for prefabricated data center modules.
