Steve Sasse
Regional Director - Latin America, datacenterHawkSteve Sasse is the Regional Director for Latin America at Data Center Hawk. He is responsible for the Latin American research, quarterly reporting and regional relationships. His focus is to continuasly maintain updated data for the data center market in the region as well expand relationships, seek new markets, and assist in the promotion and sales of the company’s products.
Before joining Datacenter Hawk Steve was Business Development Director for Latin America at KIO Networks. He was responsible for generating new buisiness opportunities and expansion in the region. While at KIO Steve closed the deal for KIO’s expansion into the Bogota market with the purchase of the data center from ZFB as well as spearheaded the launch of their partner program.
Prior to KIO, Steve served as Director for Latin America & the Caribbean for EQUINIX. In the role Steve oversaw the expansion of Equinix in the region from two `to more than then ten data centers in Brazil, Colombia and Mexico. He also assisted EQUINIX in expanding the interconnection ecosystem at the NAP of the Americas (MI1) in Miami. He was Equinix’s official spokeperson in Colombia and Mexico.
Prior to Equinix, much of his professional career was at Verizon, where he had several roles in Sales Management and Channel Sales Director for Latin America as well as the Terramark business unit, managing strategic relationships with network operators and partners and overseeing sales of strategic data products for all major network providers.
Steve received a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Vermont in Burlington with a major in International Business and holds several industry certifications. He has more than 20 years of experience in the technology industry.
