Dean Nelson, head of Uber Compute, discusses the challenge of finding the right staff

In this short interview Dean Nelson, head of Uber Compute and founder of the Infrastructure Masons community, talks about the failure of the industry to attract young talent, despite the fact that data center market is set for accelerated growth and data center engineers command six-figure salaries.

Most people simply don’t know that this industry exists, and that’s a growing problem - according to Nelson, data centers need all types of expertise, and would benefit from fresh perspectives.

The conversation took place at the DCD Enterprise show in New York, which concluded last week.
