Maya Heat Transfer Technologies (Maya HTT) has added new intelligent features to the Clarity LC data center infrastructure management (DCIM) product - better known in many countries through its partnership with Siemens.

Datacenter Clarity LC 3.0 uses machine learning and automation, supporting predictive analysis for capacity management, alongside asset management and real-time monitoring functionality. It also integrates with other infrastructure management products through an open API.

“Our forecasting ability differentiates us from other DCIM offerings,” said Remi Duquette, global head of Datacenter Clarity LC at Montreal-based Maya HTT. “It handles different metrics including power and average rack revenue. Planning for 200 racks is difficult, so return on investment is pretty immediate.”

Maya HTT developed Clarity some ten years ago when DCIM was still in its infancy. The software includes engineering simulations with computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and lifecycle management software. The product has been sold under Siemens branding in many parts of the world.

Datacenter Clarity LC 3.0 is integrated with other products, supporting more than 800 communication protocols, and includes a mobile device interface which visualizes the location of equipment in 3D. Alarms are shown in their 3D context, making any response quicker and easier.

The new forecasting engine incorporates future data and allows users to “travel through time,” Duquette said, with the software predicting demand and making planning and deployment easier.

For hyper-scale companies, the product allows modules to be cloned, so a large hall can be populated quickly with assets imported from other resources.

The product integrates directly with Siemens Building Technologies’ building management platform, DesigoCC, which can use Clarity’s 3D modelling, alarms, and change management modules.

Clarity can be Installed on premises, but Maya HTT has also just introduced a subscription model which puts it in a private cloud.
