Ben is the Head of AWS’s Data Center Design Engineering team in Asia Pacific, currently based in Seoul, South Korea. Originally located in Singapore for 4 years, he leads a large diverse team of engineers . Responsible for site master planning and detailed design, Ben's team drives the development and delivery of AWS’s data centers across the Asia Pacific region. During his tenure, Ben has overseen the successful delivery of all new data centers in key regions such as Australia, China, India, Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, New Zealand, South Korea, and other confidential new regions. Ben plays a pivotal role in shaping AWS’s next-generation global data center design templates.

Prior to joining AWS, Ben served as the Director of Engineering at Silent-Aire LLP, a Canadian industry leader specializing in Modular Data Centers, including Micro, Enterprise, and Campus solutions. Notably, Ben secured two patents for innovative cooling technologies during his tenure at Silent-Aire. Ben's early career experience also includes roles as a commercial building services engineer at a local architectural engineering firm in his hometown of Moncton, New Brunswick, in eastern Canada.

In addition to his industry leadership, Ben has contributed to academia as a university lecturer at the University of Moncton in Canada. There, he instructed undergraduate students on the Fundamentals of Heating, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration.
