Hugo Zanon

Development Lead LATAM, Data Horizon Americas

Hugo Zanon is the Development Lead at Data Horizon Americas. He oversees all components required to build the company’s inventory over the region, including site selection, power procurement, network connectivity, and any aspects related to the design, permitting, and construction of the Data Center facilities.

Hugo has more than 25 years of experience in the Data Centers & ITC industries with large experience in managing Regional Operations, Sales, and Business Development. He is an accomplished executive with a proven track record in leading technology companies and startup initiatives, focused on growth and result-driven operations. 

Hugo has an extensive international career, including several positions in companies based in the United States and Brazil (Cyxtera, Verizon, Terremark, Global Crossing, and Cirion), and held job experiences in Mexico and Japan. His deep knowledge of Latin America's business, cultural, social, and political environment has been crucial for the successful development and value creation of the organizations he has been part of.

As a seasoned professional, Hugo has established a long-term relationship with the various stakeholders of the Data Center ecosystem, including major tech companies such as Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Akamai, and Yahoo in his career, serving as their Data Center service provider.

Hugo holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master in Business Administration both from the University of Sao Paulo, in Brazil.
