Panel: How can data centers in APAC balance the speed and scale of rollout with sustainability?

This episode will stream live at 1:00pm SGT

With the APAC data center market expected to receive 94 billion US dollars in revenue by 2027, operators are being expected to improve their sustainable construction practices as lenders pay increasing attention to their carbon footprint. As hyperscalers lead the way with sustainability in the region, other data center organizations are following suit. However, building sustainably is not without its challenges, including utility systems that aren’t inter-country connected, the prevalence of air cooling and lack of renewable energy on the grid.

In this episode, DCD brings you this timely discussion on how data centers are championing sustainable construction in APAC. With a large part of the carbon footprint of a data center coming from the construction process, those who embed sustainability practices first will showcase their credentials. With the explosive data center growth in APAC showing no signs of slowing, how can data centers constructors and their supply chains implement sustainability at speed? Speakers will also consider how definitions of sustainability vary from country to country, and how markets are likely to respond.
