Why fuel cells are key to securing energy independence in an unpredictable world

With increasing natural disasters, longer-duration outages and heightened power insecurity, data center customers are moving to find more reliable and resilient solutions to support new locations and retrofit existing ones. The critical nature of data center operations elevates many design criteria —chiefly factors like reliability, power availability, and time-to-power —over other considerations and special focus must be placed on redundancy measures. All of these operational objectives must be accomplished in the context of a world that aspires to be zero carbon.

In this session, Black & Veatch and Bloom Energy will be discussing the movement toward grid independence when powering mission critical data centers and analyzing the role of fuel cell technology when considering time to power and power of the future.
