Panel: Circularity and supply chain disruption - a good result from a bad situation?
Material shortages caused by supply chain turmoil continue to plague data center projects and operations across Europe, the same ones working to implement sustainable designs and practices on the journey to carbon neutrality. As the recycling and reuse of IT equipment is gaining momentum, the supply crisis may actually boost circularity processes in the industry.
This panel will review how far data centers have embraced extended product life cycle assessments, given second life to hardware and how the current situation could help to further reduce their environmental impact. Circularity is becoming the backbone of our economy, can the backbone of our digital infrastructure embrace circularity?
