A1 Austria is set to acquire IT services provider NTT Austria GmbH.
The telco said that once it gains approval from the relevant authorities, it will acquire 100 percent of the shares in NTT Austria GmbH.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
NTT Austria GmbH is part of NTT Data Group and provides cloud-based solutions and infrastructure and security services.
The acquisition follows A1 Austria's takeover of NTT's Alcatel-Lucent telephony business in the country back in 2021.
"This is a further step towards meeting the increasing demands of the market for digitalization," said Marcus Grausam, CEO, A1 Austria.
"We are convinced that this transaction is a win-win situation for both sides. The business areas of NTT Austria GmbH and A1 complement each other perfectly, and at the same time we will be able to exploit synergies in the future."
A1 Austria confirmed that all employees at NTT Austria GmbH will join its team once the acquisition gains regulatory approval.
It added that along with NTT Group, both parties "intend to further expand their long-standing strategic partnership on an international level."
