Archtop Fiber has announced the completion of its acquisition of New York-based Hancock Telephone Company (HTC).

The fiber broadband and telephony provider said that the acquisition will enable it to provide telecommunications services to customers throughout Hancock’s Delaware County, New York, and northeastern Pennsylvania service area.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

“Hancock Telephone has a longstanding reputation for innovation and unparalleled customer service. The fiber network they built is a perfect fit for Archtop, and we can’t wait to expand their fiber reach even further,” said Jeff DeMond, chairman and CEO of Archtop Fiber.

Based in Hancock, New York, HTC serves more than 2,000 customers and has been around for more than 100 years. The company is run by the Wrighter family.

Last month, Archtop struck a deal to acquire another New York-based fiber provider, GTel.

Archtop notes on its website that it's investing up to $350 million in private funding to build over 2,500 miles of fiber optic infrastructure.
