The auction starts in mid-March, with $600,000 listed as the starting bid.

The 22-acre property - located around 65 miles west of Chicago - is described as a 151,425-square-foot (14,070 sqm), two-story telecom industrial property.

The facility currently offers 2,500kVA of power delivered by ComEd, with upgrades available.

The site “presents an investor or user with a turnkey telecommunications facility or the ability to repurpose into a large industrial manufacturing asset,” the listing notes.

The building was constructed in 1956, during the Cold War, to meet national government regulations to serve as a hardened military facility.

“This facility has been expertly maintained to meet these standards and exceeds all current seismic requirements," the listing adds. "The building offers a new owner flexible 50,000-square-foot floor plates that can accommodate a sizable industrial tenant."

Other property features include a security fence around the perimeter site, a 270-foot operational telecom tower, and a concrete roof deck.

Listing images show the site has been vacated, and it's unclear when AT&T exited the site.
