Microsoft Azure services were hit by glitches for more than an hour after issues with Azure Front Door (AFD).

One of Microsoft's content delivery networks (CDN), AFD is not to be confused with Microsoft Azure CDN.

The issue only impacted Microsoft services that use AFD, and not external customers of AFD. However, customers of those Microsoft services were impacted.

Microsoft said that it "determined that the impact was caused by a recent configuration change made by an internal service team that uses AFD. Once that change was understood as the trigger event, we initiated a rollback of the configuration change which fully mitigated all customer impact."

The issue comes a week after Microsoft was hit by the global outage of some Azure and Office cloud services.

That itself came just two weeks after an Azure outage and a separate CrowdStrike-caused outage of millions of Windows systems.
