The new building spans 3,600 sqm (38,750 sq ft) and increases the campus' capacity by 50 percent.

Located in Cotia, São Paulo, the two data centers share a 20MW power substation, are both carrier-neutral and have received Tier III design and construction certification from Uptime Institute.

“The expansion of the São Paulo data center represents another step in our journey to grow the platform of interconnected, low-latency data centers and establish a thriving digital ecosystem in Latin America,” said Facundo Castro, CEO of Cirion Technologies. “This new facility in the São Paulo data center complex reflects Cirion’s continued commitment to investing in our customers and providing them with the most complete suite of data center solutions to support digital transformation across the region.”

Cirion Technologies has three data center campuses across Brazil: São Paulo (SAO1), Rio de Janeiro (RIO1), and Curitiba (CUR1).

The company, spun out of Lumen and backed by the Stonepeak investment firm, is currently developing new data centers in Peru and Chile.
