Akio Sugeno from Telehouse explains the position of KDDI, the Japanese parent company

In this interview Akio Sugeno, vice president of Internet Engineering, Operations and Business Development at Telehouse America, talks about the growing footprint of the company.

Japanese telecommunications giant KDDI established the Telehouse brand in Europe in the nineties, while also offering data centers under its own name.

Rather than retiring the western brand, the company actually made it the centrepiece of its data center strategy. Today, Telehouse has 48 data centers under management, including facilities in Japan.

The conversation took place at the DCD Colo + Cloud conference in Dallas.
