Two men have been arrested after attempting to steal from a Georgia cell tower site.

As reported by several publications, including WGTJ Radio, the duo have been linked to last month's thefts from two cell tower sites in Hall County, Georgia.

The men have been named as Brione Carnell Russell and Kendrick Larkin.

According to Hall County Sherrif's Office (HCSO) the incident last month saw more than $19,000 worth of batteries stolen from the site.

Russell, of Auburn, Georgia, was arrested on August 21, as he and Larkin were attempting to steal from a cell tower in Hall County.

There had been an arrest warrant out for Russell since August 5 in relation to the previous incident.

The HCSO warrants for Russell are for two counts of felony second-degree burglary. Russell remains in the custody of Dawson County authorities.

In a Facebook post, Dawson County Sherrif's Office confirmed that Russell had also been wanted in connection with a bank robbery in Shreveport, Louisiana, last year, and has additional warrants from surrounding counties.

“The Dawson County Sheriff’s Office Warrant Unit and Crime Suppression Unit, in collaboration with the US Marshals Service, recently apprehended Brione Russell on outstanding warrants. He and Kendrick Larkin were arrested while attempting to steal from a cell tower site in Dawson County," said the statement on social media.

"In addition to the existing warrants, Russell now faces charges in Dawson County for theft by taking, damaging/interfering with public utilities, and conspiracy to commit a crime. Larkin is charged with obstruction of an officer, damaging/interfering with public utilities, theft by taking, and conspiracy to commit a crime.”
