Edgewater Federal Solutions, Inc. has won a contract to help the FBI run its data centers.
Edgewater recently announced that it has been awarded a five-year, $138 million contract to support the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Information Technology Infrastructure Division (ITID).
The Data Center IT Professional Engineering and Support Services (ITPES) will see Edgewater provide enterprise IT services, including the design, build, development, implementation, integration, testing, documentation, and maintenance of systems within the FBI’s data centers, remote offices, and commercial cloud facilities.
“Edgewater is thrilled to expand its work with the Department of Justice (DOJ) and support the FBI’s mission-critical data centers. With our well-established team and partner network, we’ll work together to seamlessly provide industry-best lifecycle IT support to over 30,000 devices and 9,500 servers,” said Dave Yockman, Edgewater CEO.
Edgewater will place employees at FBI sites in Pocatello, Idaho; Huntsville, Alabama; and Morgantown, West Virginia.
Edgewater Federal Solutions was founded in 2002 as an IT consulting company for government clients. Today the company has more than 30 federal and commercial customers. Blue Delta Capital Partners – a firm focused on the US Federal Government Services market – invested in the company last year.
The FBI was looking for a vendor to help manage its five main data centers across the US in 2021. The agency's core data centers are located in Pocatello, Idaho; Huntsville, Alabama; Vienna, Virginia; and Washington, DC.
A former FBI facility in Clarksburg, West Virginia was put up for sale in 2021.
