Equinix has expanded the option to connect directly to a multitude of cloud service providers it hosts in its European data centers across the entire EMEA region.

Providers hosted in Equinix' Amsterdam, Dubai, Frankfurt, London, Paris and Zurich data centers include Amazon Web Services (AWS), Blue Box, CenturyLink Cloud, CloudSigma, Datapipe, Joyent and Virtustream.

EMEA customers elsewhere in the region can now get private links to these providers' infrastructure and bypass the public internet, which may not be reliable and secure enough for many companies. Equinix said this may also reduce network costs.
