Ericsson has named Jenny Lindqvist as its new senior vice president and head of market area Europe & Latin America.

Her position at the Swedish vendor will be effective from February 1, 2023.

In doing so, Lindqvist will also join Ericsson's executive team, where she will report to the company's CEO Börje Ekholm.

Before starting her new role next month, Lindqvist has been Ericsson's head of Northern & Central Europe for the past four-and-a-half years.

In becoming a member of the vendor's executive team, she succeeds Stefan Koetz who has been acting in this role as of June 1, 2022. Ericsson noted that Koetz will take on the role of head of Strategic projects for market area Europe & Latin America.

"Jenny takes on this role at a pivotal time for Ericsson and the industry as we drive towards realizing the full potential of 5G technology by solidifying our leadership position in mobile networks," said Ekholm. "Under Jenny’s leadership and leveraging her commercial and operations experience, I see an opportunity for Ericsson to further grow and shape the future of our business in Europe and Latin America with our leading customers."
