Google services including Search, YouTube, Gmail, and Meet went down today for a subset of users.

For most, systems returned within minutes - although still appear to be buggy and hit by recurring brief outages.

It is not yet clear how many people are impacted by the issue, nor how many countries are affected.

Online user complaints appear to primarily come from Europe, although not exclusively. Many report being kicked off of Google Meet meetings and being unable to rejoin, while others cannot load the main search engine.

Google's Cloud, Search, and Workspace status pages currently do not suggest any issues.

The company did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Update: The company told DCD that the issue is resolved.

"We are experiencing an issue with Cloud CDN, Cloud Load Balancing, Hybrid Connectivity," the company said in a status report about its UK (europe-west2) region.

"The issue is mitigated and our engineering team continues to investigate the issue and are monitoring for the residual impact."

Customers who are connecting to europe-west2 (specifically in the UK) may continue to see elevated latency.
