Ohio-based service provider Involta is to open a 31,400 square foot facility in Boise, Idaho on March 5th. It will be the company’s eight data center.

The new data center (first announced in 2014) is needed to cater for a 157 percent three-year growth rate created by demand for its Involta CompliantCloud services, which include infrastructure, storage, network backup and recovery services housed.

The facility can currently house 300 high-density cabinets and the company reports it already has ‘multiple anchor tenants’ leasing space. On completion, the climate controlled building will house 600 cabinets.

Founded in 2007 and with 50 employees Involta is currently listed as one of America’s fastest growing companies, by US corporate ranking system Inc 500. It operates eight data centers in total, two in Boise and others in Iowa, Ohio, Minnesota, and Arizona.

In July 2104, the company announced it had received a $50 million cash injection from M/C Partners of Boston and Morgan Stanley Alternative Investment Partners.

“The vibrant technology and business climate in Boise made this facility possible,” said Involta founder and CEO Bruce Lehrman.
