The Chinese hardware company, which recently reshuffled its data center management team and appointed Kim Stevenson as its new CIO after seeing year-on-year sales drop by 20 percent, states that it has updated its strategic alliances’ focus.

Mirroring its reorganization, it will put new emphasis on the development of software-defined data centers, high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, hyperscale systems and data center services.

Rob Makin, Lenovo’s ANZ data center group director told ARN that “Lenovo is uniquely positioned to help our business partners meet diverse needs in the enterprise market, through best-of-breed data center solutions and our open ecosystem of partnerships with leading IT providers.”

The company will also be launching its solution alliance partner program (LSAPP), reserved for its platinum partners, which offers incentives on training and increased revenue specific to data centers.
