In addition to the GPUaaS, Lenovo has added automation, predictive analytics, and generative AI for data protection to XClarity One, its management-as-a-service offering for Lenovo's infrastructure, and is launching a Power and Cooling Services offering.

“Adopting an as-a-service approach and applying the right AI-powered infrastructure reduces the complexities of implementing a comprehensive AI strategy while supporting sustainability outcomes across the entire organization, from data centers to Edge devices,” said Vlad Rozanovich, SVP of Lenovo's infrastructure solutions group.

“With Lenovo’s new AI services and solutions, we bring the AI to you. Businesses experience cost efficiency and flexibility in their AI integration, with the simplicity of a scalable, pay-as-you-go solution that ignites innovation and helps ensure they stay ahead of the competition.”

The TruScale GPUaaS gives customers immediate access to AI and HPC technology, including Nvidia H100s and L40s GPUs. The offering also has Lenovo Intelligent Computer Orchestration technology which helps with workload management and scheduling.

The company is also using AI to improve its own offerings. Lenovo XClarity One, the IT infrastructure management offering has also been upgraded to include AI-informed protective failure analytics which can help teams avoid downtime.

Through the power and cooling services offering, Lenovo is giving customers access to liquid cooling solutions suitable for AI workloads, as well as providing them with data insights to determine power usage, cooling needs, and energy efficiency within the data center.

GPUaaS offerings are becoming increasingly popular, with major players focusing on cloud-based GPU services including CoreWeave, Nscale, and Lambda Labs.

Others that have made headway into the GPUaaS market of late include Singtel, Foundry, Civo, Lintasarta.
