"I look forward to collaborating with an incredibly talented team and contributing to the remarkable growth at Oracle," Souders said on LinkedIn. "Thank you to everyone who has supported me on my journey so far. Here’s to new challenges and opportunities ahead!"

At Vantage, Souders was involved in more than fifty data center projects, and established the company's East Coast construction team.

Prior to his role at the hyperscale and large user-focused data center operator, Souders spent 12 years at construction company Turner Construction.

There, Souders was involved in developing 25 new and renovated data centers across the East Coast.

His move to Oracle comes as the company aggressively expands its cloud and data center footprint amid renewed growth thanks to the AI boom.

In June, the company announced that it was working with OpenAI to develop a supercluster for the ChatGPT developer. It added that, in Q4 alone, it had signed more than 30 AI sales contracts, totaling more than $12.5bn.
