A massive new site for a top tier data center facility and offices has become available in New Jersey.

The Tier III, 500,000 sq ft, 15-story, class-A building, which is purpose-built to support the mission-critical IT infrastructure is in 111 Town Square Place (111TSP), in the building formerly known as 111 Pavonia in Newport Center, New Jersey.

The site, is a short commute from Manhattan’s financial district but far enough from the Hudson to minimize the risk of flooding, has been placed with data center agent managing LeFrak Commercial.

The 111TSP’s site’s 100,000 sq ft of data center and colocation space are primarily being targeted at Wall Street’s financial institutions, but is ideal also for New York and New Jersey’s local telcos, managed service providers, cloud service providers and colocation companies.

The building’s comms infrastructure includes fiber optic cabling and access to ducts for connectivity, which are gateways to at least 30 alternative network options serving the Newport, New Jersey metro area and New York City, according to technology consultancy firm Hidalgo Communications.

Hidalgo is appointing reseller and systems integrator partners to aid companies with their installation at the site.

The site has redundant dual 12 MW underground power feeders, three fiber points of entry (POEs) and a conduit network interconnecting the entire Newport development with access to 40 commercial tenants in 5,000,000 sq ft of business park.

The power supply is backed up with six 2,000KW roof-mounted backup generators with 24-hour fuel supply.

There are two N+1 uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems for power management and back up.

The carrier neutral comms options include 15 Tier I and II carrier backbones on-site with access to ‘ample’ dark fiber options.

Temperature control is offered by dedicated 2,490 ton, N+1 data center cooling towers and building infrastructure systems that are monitored-on-site, so that all managed colocation facilities, engineering and security has 24 hour, year round support.

According to Hidalgo Communications CEO Anthony Hidalgo the site has a 100% uptime record for the last five years.

“We are excited to add 111TSP to our portfolio of data centers and will be rolling out a channel partner program very different from anything else that exists today,” Hidalgo said.

Hidalgo is recruiting resellers and integrators at the Cloud Partners and Channel Partners Expo in New Orleans.
