Peruvian technology services company Canvia has inaugurated its third data center.
Specifications of the new facility weren’t shared.
The new facility will reportedly cover the demand of clients in Peru in the short term, and it will be extended to meet the needs of interested international companies in the future.
“This implementation is aligned with our regional expansion plan, which has been underway since last year. With this, we project that our data center business will grow more than 18 percent in 2023,” said Hugo Goicochea, CEO of Canvia. “The value generated by having three data centers available to our clients is to guarantee the high availability of their services, having their data replicated to ensure rapid recovery in the event of any incident that may occur.”
Founded in 1984, Canvia (formerly GMD) has been owned by private equity firm Advent International since 2017, acquiring the company from construction firm Aenza (formerly known as Grupo Graña y Montero) for $85 million.
The company has two other operations and data centers in the Lima area, in Surquillo and Cercado de Lima.
