The current target capacity of the campus stands at 86MW. The expansion will see the campus’ target capacity almost double.

The existing facility on the campus, dubbed Data Center 2, has a target capacity of 42MW. The company is now set to build more space for colocation on the same campus.

Specifications and details of the new space have not been shared.

Beyond.pl added the new space will be able to support high-density and AI workloads of up to 130+kW per rack.

“Our readiness to launch investments in new colocation spaces on the Poznan campus is a response to the dynamically changing needs of the market, primarily the demand from companies focused on AI deployments. We are currently ready to deliver infrastructure solutions with high power density parameters within 12 months of the customer order.

"We have secured land, electricity, and all resources required to quickly deploy space for the most demanding colocation projects,” said Wojciech Stramski, CEO at Beyond.pl.

The increased campus capacity will also continue to be powered by 100 percent renewable energy. The new colocation space will use a combination of cooling technologies, including liquid, direct-to-chip, immersion, and rear door cooling.

In 2018, Beyond.pl announced plans to offer cloud services based on Microsoft Azure Stack out of its Data Center 2 in Poznań.

The Polish operator has one other facility in Poznan, Data Center 1, which offers 400 sqm (4,300 sq ft) of IT space. According to Datacentermap.com, the facility has around 1MW of IT capacity.

Beyond.pl is owned by a private, international investment house, Kulczyk Investments. The company was established in 2005 as one of the first carrier-neutral data center operators in Poland, and opened its first facility in 2007.
