Located on the outskirts of Manila, the company said it has upgraded Data Hall F to bring the campus’ total IT capacity to 5MW.

Data Hall F was formerly known as Globe MK2.

“As we expand STT GDC Philippines, we get closer to our dream of turning the Philippines into a preferred location for hyperscalers in Southeast Asia, driving digitalization and uplifting the lives of Filipinos by creating more opportunities for them,” said Ernest Cu, president and CEO of Globe and STT GDC Philippines board director.

In October last year, STT GDC completed the build of a 1.2MW data center on the Makati City campus.

This came shortly after the company pledged to expand three of its data centers by a total of 5.2MW in Makati, Cavite, and Quezon City in June 2023.

STT GDC Philippines is a joint venture between Globe, the Ayala Corporation, and Singaporean data center operator ST Telemedia Global Data Centres that was formed in 2022. The company currently has three data centers in the capital city Manila, and one each in Cavite and Davao that were carved out of Globe.

The company also has two data centers currently under construction in Cavite and Quezon City. In Quezon City, the STT Fairview campus is set to host 124MW of IT capacity once complete.

STT GDC broke ground on the 6MW Cavite campus in November last year, with completion scheduled for mid-2025.
