State-owned Telkom Indonesia has selected Goldman Sachs and Mandiri Sekuritas to help it find an investor in its data center business.

First reported by Reuters, Mandiri is the lead advisor, while Goldman Sachs is taking on the role of global financial advisor.

Telkom Indonesia's SVP of corporate communication and investor relations, Ahmad Reza, said: "We hope that by unlocking this data center business, it will give the best value for all Telkom stakeholders."

The telco was reportedly considering selling a minority stake in its data center business, known as NeutraDC, in February of this year. The sale hoped to value NeutraDC at $1 billion, a source told Reuters at the time.

This followed a previous mooted sale of the data center business, in late 2022

NeutraDC is a brand of PT Telkom Data Ekosistem, Telkom’s data center business vehicle.

According to its website, NeutraDC operates two hyperscale data centers in Cikarang and Batam in Indonesia; as well as three core data centers in Sentul, Serpong, and Surabaya; and 21 Edge facilities across Java, Bali, Sumatra, Sulawesi, and Kalimantan.

In March 2024, the company consolidated its Telin Singapore data centers under the NeutraDC brand.

Telin Singapore was set up in 2007 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Telkom Indonesia providing colocation, cloud, connectivity, and managed services, from three data centers.
