Swedish company T.Loop has launched a new Edge data center in Stockholm.
The company, formerly known as Therma Loop, this week launched its debut facility in the Factory; an office space in Häggvik, in the Sollentuna area north of the Swedish capital.
Founded in 2021, T.Loop offers what it calls Data Energy Centers.
These immersion-cooling facilities aim to reuse their excess heat for nearby buildings.
The new Häggvik facility – known as DEC001 – offers 200kW of capacity, targeting Edge, AI, and HPC workloads.

T.Loop was co-founded by CEO Staffan Stymne, who was previously at Stockholm-based Norrenergi AB, a municipally owned district heating company.
According to an interview with Breakit, the company aims to launch 30 data centers by 2026, totaling 30MW.
T.Loop received a grant from the Swedish Energy Agency for the first facility and has reportedly raised a total of SEK 20 million ($1.9m) across two rounds. The company told Breakit it aims to raise SEK 100 million ($9.5m) in future.
On its website, T.Loop said DEC002 and DEC0003 will both launch in January 2024, providing 1.5MW and 1MW of capacity respectively, though locations weren’t shared.
Developed by technology investor Wellstreet, the Factory is a 14,200 sqm multi-story glass office space designed to host startups.
Built in 2002, the huge building was launched as the ABB Business Center. The second tenant was TDC, later was acquired by Tele 2. Real estate company Centria bought the building in 2015. The Factory – now owned by CapMan Real Estate – launched in 2019.
