Spanning 76,000 sq ft (7,060 sqm), US Signal said the Detroit North Data Center is ready for immediate lease.

The site currently offers 4MW of available power and 17,000 square feet of raised floor space, with the ability to expand up to 8MW. This facility is set to be upgraded, including more than 5MW of critical IT load capabilities.

John White, US Signal COO, said: “Our mission to fortify digital infrastructure in Michigan has never been stronger. This acquisition underscores our position as the leading data center and managed services provider in the region. With three facilities in Metro Detroit now fully operational and in high demand, we are poised for growth.”

The site was previously a DXC data center, and operated by HP before that. DXC Technology was founded in 2017 after HPE merged its enterprise services business with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC). Another former DXC facility on the same street was sold last year and set to be turned into a manufacturing facility.

US Signal provides data center, cloud hosting, and colocation services. The company operates a 9,500-mile fiber network and has nine data centers across Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin.

The company operates two other data centers in Detroit, at 9275 Haggerty Road and 21648 Melrose Avenue. Across the rest of Michigan, it has two in Grand Rapids.

Founded in 2001, US Signal was acquired by Igneo Infrastructure Partners in February 2023. At the end of last year, the colo company acquired a data center in Indianapolis, Indiana, and earlier this year acquired OneNeck, taking over six facilities across the US.
